So, mi boss tell me sey him tink him 15 yrs old daughter is a lesbian. Wen mi ask him why him tink suh, him sey him wife ke tch har and har fren a kiss and feel up dem wanna nedda pon di couch lass week.

Him sey that this is not di furss time him suspect something sayka how shi juss cyaah stop talk bout dis girlfren and always want fi guh a har yaawd and sleep ovah and ting and ting.

Suh wen him confront har bout it, shi stawt bawl and tell him sey shi confuse sayka how shi is not allowed to go out wid boys and shi is warned constantly bout staying away from sex and getting preggo and how him did gwaan a way when shi hold a boy hand wen shi was 12 yrs old.

Shi tole him dat a lotta girls inna har school involve widd one anodda for dem cyaah get pregnant or get STD dat way and furdurmore, it is harmless FUN.

Him is torn up now and a ask mi and anoodda colleague what we think. Mi nuh kno yaah man for dem kwestion whe him put to mi hawd. Mi need unnoo opinions pls?

In a nutshell, a dese kwestions him struggling wid:

- Do you think as parents we going too far when teaching them about the issues of sex in our attempt to protect our children?

- By telling the girls to stay away from boys and vice-versa, are we driving them into the arms of same-sex relationships?

- Him wife told him that since same-sex relationships are so acceptable in the current society, our youth are using that as an alternate route to releasing their sexual urges, while still not "breaking the rules". What are your thoughts on that?

- Do you think it is just an experimental thing or is this another way to "come out"?

- What would you do as a parent?

i wonda if any awn yah who went to same sex schools, if dem would tell if dem did know of , suspek any such carrying on during fi dem time

mi trying hard fi memba an while i can NOW look bak an say so an so was butch looking, it was neva an issue..we were too busy enjoying being schoolers, teenagers, partying etc to worry bout adult issues....

didnt even worry if anyone was having hetero sex....we juss wanted carefree fun

I went to both boy/girl and all girl HS and to be honest I must have been naive becaws I neva say any kinda sexual ting wid any of them.

I did know of girls who left school because dem did get PG and there were stories of who an who did get train run pan dem but...... nothing was ever out in the open Homo or Hetero.

But then again, that was in the pre-MTV days a much more innocent time.

I don't even think I knew what a lesbian was till after mi reach 18

and as to Gay men, I knew they existed but just thought they were girly men

Former Wolmerian here. And thinking back, I recall suspecting only one girl of being gay. She was a friend, but at times she wanted to be tooooo friendly. Always found a way fi har han drap pon mi batty of she a brush up gense mi new bress dem...

At first I thought it was just an innocent thing, but the frequency of these 'accidental' brushings made me rethink that...

Never heard of anyone going 'same-sex' just because they were denied the other... at least, never heard of it happening outside prison...

When I came to NA, I found out that many young women 'experimented' in college. Many of them, now in hetero relationships, like to through this tid-bit out there, as though it makes them more exciting, more risque... guys seems to like hearing about it, so I guess the ploy works...

I always thought being gay was not a choice or a 'plan B'. So I suspect that this girl's 'explanation' is either an outright lie or she's playing her parents...

Mi raah .. a 19 odda woman mi did live wid. I went to boarding school.
Plus we showered ina wan batroom (oh the horrors)

I struggle .. an when mi sey struggle ..mi mean struggle fi accept that all of this Gay activity is solely based on how yuh barn. Mi strongly believe sey <span style="text-decoration: underline">some</span> a it is all in di name of FUN and curiosity. ...an do wey dem si dem fren a do.

Did you watch Glee last week? They had the the two girls (cheerleaders) on the bed making out and their whole thing was that the boyfriend was unavailable so the girlfriend was the next best thing. This was on a 8pm show, I am sure the pickney dem watch it and were like...hmmmmm

celebrities such as lindsey lowdown had that fling with smantha reacharound not long ago.

being a lesbian is sort of chic right now. look at all those on stage kisses between women on those award shows
