</span>
A day after her reps denied reports that Eva Longoria had filed for divorce from Tony Parker in Texas, the actress set the wheels in motion in California to end her marriage.

A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Superior Court confirmed to CNN that the “Desperate Housewives” star filed a petition for divorce from her NBA player husband on Wednesday.

The pair married three years ago in a ceremony outside of Paris, and Longoria could often be found courtside cheering on her husband, who plays for the San Antonio Spurs. Over the summer, the pair celebrated their anniversary with an Adriatic cruise vacation.

A rep for the actress tells CNN that they are &quot;not commenting at this time&quot; on the split.

A Los Angeles County Superior Court spokeswoman
confirmed to ABCNews.com that Longoria filed for
divorce from Parker this morning, citing
irreconcilable differences.

According to the filing obtained by The Associated
Press, Longoria, who had taken Parker's name, wants
her name to be restored to Eva Jacqueline Longoria.
The filing also reveals that the couple had a
prenuptial agreement. They have no children
together.

Us Weekly magazine reports that Parker's
&quot;inappropriate&quot; text messages with another woman led
to the couple's split. According to the magazine,
<span style="color: #FF0000">Longoria recently discovered that Parker has been
exchanging personal texts with a mutual female
friend for nearly a year -- in one month, they
reportedly exchanged hundreds of messages</span>.

&quot;Eva truly thought she was going to grow old with
Tony and have children with him,&quot; a friend of
Longoria's told the magazine. &quot;She's inconsolable.&quot;

This is the second divorce for Longoria, 35. In 2004,
she divorced her first husband, Tyler Christopher,
after two years of marriage.

A representative for Longoria declined ABCNews.
com's request for comment. A representative for
Parker did not immediately respond.

The &quot;Desperate Housewives&quot; actress wed the the San
Antonio Spurs point guard on July 7, 2007 in an
elaborate Parisian ceremony. Parker, 28, was raised in
France.

In January Longoria gushed to New! magazine about
how much she enjoyed being Parker's wife.

I couldn't imagine 2 more ill fitting and different people.

And of course, I'm alllllways a skeptic when it comes to celebs who run around screaming their declarations of love from the roof top and talk shows.

Yes I saw that as maybe a little glitch .. but dem did look so happy and he was so smitten.


Now I must say a couple of misfits have lasted longer than I expected so it hard fi pin down who have what it takes to sustain.

Wendy - you can be mismatched - and you can be MISMATCHED.

Nothing wrong with being from 2 different worlds but, you at LEAST have to be from the same universe.

Look at Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck.

There's no way on earth those 2 shoulda married - and thankfully, they didn't.

Erin Barry has been revealed as the woman at the centre of Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria's divorce. Access Hollywood reports that Longoria's husband Tony Parker, 28, sent the mother of two, hundreds of 'sex texts' .

<span style="font-weight: bold">Erin, 37, is estranged from her husband former NBA basketball star Brent Barry, Parker's former San Antonio Spurs's teammate. </span>Her father-in-law confirmed to celebrity website TMZ that she filed for divorce from her husband of 12 years just last month. The sportsmen became friends when they played together for the Spurs from 2004 to 2008.

On Wednesday, Longoria, 35, filed for divorce in Los Angeles after telling friend and television presenter Mario Lopez, that she had discovered texts alleged to be from Barry, on her husband's phone. Erin, 37, has been married to Brent Barry, now an NBA TV host, for 12 years. According to Access Hollywood, divorce papers were filed on October 29.

Barry's father, NBA Hall of Famer Rick Barry, told TMZ &quot;I feel horrible for my son. I'm in shock. I knew [Erin] was moving out of the house soon and she was the one that filed for divorce. This is the straw that broke the camel's back.&quot;

Rick added: &quot;[Brent] is going to be devastated. I can't even imagine him going through this ... the divorce was hard enough news.&quot;

The couple married in San Francisco in 1998, and Erin has followed her husband from city to city as her husband played for six different teams before retiring last year. Brent Barry played alongside Tony Parker for four years for the Spurs, during which time she got to know actress Eva. The Barrys have two sons, Quin, nine, and Cade, four.

Access Hollywood reports that when they reached Barry over phone, she was 'audibly emotional' and declined to comment on the matter. Tony Parker was tight-lipped when approached by reporters outside his team's locker rooms yesterday. &quot;It's a difficult time right now for me and Eva. We got a joint statement and everything else is our private life,&quot; was all he would say. When pressed on the allegations about him and Barry, he replied: &quot;That's my private life.&quot;
