man & woman met in their childrens pre-k class. they find it easy to speak to each other. platonic connection made. both of them hang out with spouses and kids. they take vacations together and all seems well. 2-3 years later, man & woman meet for drink one night (no big deal, only that spouses not invited).

man tells woman he is in love with her, she is startled, knocks over his drink and runs out. 5 mins later she comes back and tells him she feels the same way

they tell their spouses and all hell bruk out. they separate from spouses and get married one year later.

broken promises or you only have one life to live so go for it ?

oh by the way dem swear dem never act on them attraction until after they separated this part has some people saying "hmm mmm"

mi nuh kno y ppl put demselves inna certain situations...

dere is dis guy at Abi's playgroup wid a 3 yo son...white guy married to a chinese woman..he stays home with the kid ( a real brat if u ask me or ne 1 who knows him) while mom works

he invited me to bring the girls to an open session at this gymboree nearby and i did....they had fun and we left...

ever since he has been trying to sign up for regular classes so that his son would have company...his son does not give a rats batty about my girls...mi kno seh is me him waan fi chat wid so mi always decline or mek up sitten...

but he is always trying to talk to me at playgroup but i feel somehow like he is not just trying to be friendly...this was confirmed when his wife came one day and he barely said 2 words to me....

and this guy is one of the most scruffy men i have ever met who believes in going au naturale wen it comes to wearing deodorant ....ugh!

Rich-they had always been in contact mi juss a give di timeline fi show how it progress from family vacations to the one night dem meet and di man seh him in love wid her. She had no idea him was gwine seh dat, she prolly think him did want discuss sitten wid her.

I worked with two people that were intensely attracted to each other. Both married. They both admitted the mutual attraction, and both said it would be wrong to act on it because we both took vows.

I used to enjoy it when he would stop by our office. The electricity between them was HOT!. My GF would behave like a school girl in love when he was around. But she had met his wife (lovely lady), and that made it a double no-no for her.

She was happy with her hubby, he said he was happy in his marriage. They both could have explored because of the one life thing, but the vow they took came first.

I should text her and ask if thoughts of him still make her melt. LOL

well the general consensus is that they were both selfish from the comments mi read.

Neither of them admitted that they were unhappy in their marriages

them pretty much live in the same neighborhood so I assume the spouses are still nearby as well to facilitate visitation so therefore the neighbors in the hood are aware of everything

Hard to say - I try not to judge other people but I guess it would be more palatable if they had been having problems with the spouses... that didn't seem to be the case.

I suppose if they came to the conclusion that their lives could not be complete without this other person then life is too short not to be with that person... just seems very sad if the spouses were in the dark and kids involved etc. (family vacations wow) - LikePeps said I think you could say - maybe another time another place and try to be true to your vows.

If I were one of the unsuspecting spouses I think I'd be a tad bit bitter

yes, when there is no overt problem (drugs, gambling, alcohol, thief, murderer, physical abuser, whoring, womanising) but obviously both must've been feeling sad, lonely and dispassionate with being married to their then partners. makes you wonder if it is better to save face aka settle, or spend your life in a marriage that one is truly unhappy in, or move on to something else that gives what you want for a fufilling, happy comforting life.

no matter how it is cut someone will be unhappy and become bitter.
