Well, there's a few ways you can look at this.
1. She always wants to look her best when going out in public.
2. She looks tow up without makeup.
3, She wants you to go get the damn bread. -

I have pretty much never in my life left home without a little makeup since I was in my early teens. I don't wear much, to the point that people say they never realized I even wear it until they see me without it.
My blonde hair is followed by even blonder eyelashes and eyebrows. You wanna talk about wash out. Daytime usually no eyeliner or anything, just a brush of the lightest brown mascara I can find and a little brown shadow.
Of course, I don't leave home for little things such as a loaf of bread either, as the grocery store is 20 miles away. I usually plan all day errand affairs, lunch and so on....Comment

Yeah Skelly, out in the middle of nowhere and it's great. If I never left home, I would never see another human being. There are no houses or cars or people in the view of my land, just cows and horses and dogs and wildlife and that's the way I like it!Comment

We don't have convenience stores in our neighborhood either, but our neighbors are only a shout away.
Not enough foot traffic to make it possible to support these small stores.Comment

No, not hiding
, but I don't like having neighbors close enough to see. I mean, I drive 20 miles for this so the last thing I want to see is more people, I could stay in town and do that! I bought this place for my animals, so they have room to roam and my dogs can bark and I don't have to worry about if they are bothering anyone or not. Funny how that turned out though, since there is nothing much for them to bark at, they hardly ever go off. I love my quiet. I don't hear cars or anything!
There is one little market in the town that is 6-7 miles away, but I rarely shop there. It isn't really a town per say, just a post office and a propane company/little hardware store and the market is tiny. They don't have much that I want in there so I don't bother. I bought a bag of frozen french fries in there once and they were all freezer burned.
And yes, I put a little mascara and stuff on to go to the post office.

Medical emergency? Well, I could scream for days on end and nobody would hear me...I guess I would be SOL.
Oh my, maybe I should put mascara on even if I don't go anywhere! Just kidding...
I do wander the yard in winter with my cell phone and things like that, lest I spill on the ice or some such thing, and I don't climb up on the roof or those things unless I have company.

My mom didn't wear makeup (didn't need to she was naturally gorgeous) - but she NEVER even left her room without being "put together" - when she stepped out she was ready to face the day and whatever that brought - there was no incident of visitors dropping in by surprise and she running to change or put herself together - she was ready
She always told me that a woman's first defense is the way she looks no one should see me with my defenses down - she said take the time to get ready for the day and you"ll feel good about yourself the rest of the day (I know she grew up in a different time than I did and these little things mattered a bit more back then) - these and many other little tidbits that she shared has stayed with me and I am one of those that will never leave my house without a little supm supm on.
When I know my hubby will be home all day (weekends, holidays etc.) I put a little supm on for him too, and put on my sexiest house clothes - I think he appreciates having a woman who puts out a little effort for him.
