Not necessarily true. Me n di guy txt each other frequently. I always get a GM text. And wen we go long periods away from each other I always get a sext.

Well I see it both ways .depends on what we are talking about here
I think if the relationship is in the initial stage conversation is key. In those conversations you would begin to asses the person. You can learn a lot mutual interest etc etc . It is Ok to have fast, instant communication in the relationship. It does keep the emotional bond going. It doesn’t hurt to know that that person is thinking bout you at that moment and took the time to reach out.
The downside is when you use texts to communicate when there are issues that prop up.. abbreviate text can skew the tone of a message or what a person is feeling. If things are misread they can trigger knee-jerk-reaction replies that quickly get out of control. When you get into this emotionally-charged texting is when you can actually ruin the relationship if it becomes excessive. These are the time you really need to pick up the phone and talk!

Texting is a great way to manage multiple relationships at the same time. If your potential partner prefers texting over phone calls be suspicious.
