Matchmaker matchmaker, make me a match....

Have you ever played matchmaker and have it work out well, or even poorly (there might be some stories with that scenario lol)? Do you refrain from doing it because it could be uncomfortable in future if things DONT work out

Or are the people in your life just not ready to be paired with your good, decent friends? Full disclosure I'm thinking of 2 guys that seem to be on a mission to sample the whole buffet, regardles of the feast on their plates.

I seem to have a gift when it comes to hooking up friends and relatives. Never received any bad reviews, even when the 'thing' didn't last that long.

A friend begged me years ago to introduce her to my cousin.....she knew that he is a playa.....then when he played her she getting all bent outta shape sey me shud have told her he had next ooman a Van.....she still carriygobring come feelings for me....well is my cousin and I still love him.

Not me.

After UWI and working a couple of years in Ja., I was getting ready to go to grad school in Cambridge, Mass. Friends in Ja. threw a party for me. At the party, the hosts, a married couple who had met in said city I was leaving for, decided to give me a list friends in the Boston area to say hello for them .. dis was before email . He prepared the list and gave it to me. The wife pulled me aside and asked for the list. She looked it over - the list was of their single black male friends. She took out a pen, and then started crossing out names saying things like, &quot;Oh no. This one is a buzzard. Nah uh , dis one is playa playa.&quot;

The only name she didn't cross off was the future Mr. Peasie

My friend repeated this story and a few other details at a party a three years ago.

can u imagine how messed up har cousin is seeing as how di cousin a learn from she. u need to reply and encourage said cousin to come pan boardlane come <span style="text-decoration: line-through">entertain us</span> introduce herself to us.

by the way storms....carry go bring come means u a carry news back and forth ie stir up gossip. mix up . maybe wat u did mean is dat ur fren a &quot;carry belly&quot; fi yuh (not surrogacy- carry belly in dis case mean hold a grudge )

How do you do it? is it personalities and you just know they'll be good together? ANd then what's the 'sell'? ie 'This girl is just the type you need', or do you just introduce them and wait for the spark.

But he was already vetted by your friends (especially the wife)! That's why setting up friends seems so perfect- there's a level of comfort between the 2 known people since they already mesh well with the friends etc.

Now setting up work mates- not so good.... you only know a part of the person if you know them thru your job. Agree?
