always wondered wat individuals thought of ..neva wanted to be married so dont have dat experience but wonder if oonoo really think as dem script it in movies etc

what went thru my mind? will my mother remember the pastors request to no tek photo during the ceremony and 'my that aisle was short' I reach the altar already

Got married at St Mathews Church in Allman Town. The isle long so I was thinking please don't let me fall.

My belly was flipping and flopping all over the place felt like I was going to pass out.

When I got closer and saw him wink at me I felt a calmest swept over me

I walked down the aisle at UWI chapel. All by myself as Daddy had died some years earlier an mi wasn't so keen on man giving mi weh

Mr. PZ couldn't quite understand the traditional vows he was supposed to repeat. So instead of "This ring as a token and memorial..." he said "This ring as a token and an Oriole.."

Let's see...prior to the ceremony, I was wondering if he was going to show up. (I had been traumatized in my youth by a bride at my church who was jilted at the altar.)

During the ceremony:

1. I'm going to faint before I ever get down this long aisle. (Kia, consider a short walk a blessing.)

2. Am I going to catch my heel on one of these flower petals and have a slip and fall? (Future note to self if God-forbid it is needed - no flower girls)

3. I really like my dress, and at least he looks handsome standing down there.

4. While repeating the vows, I'm thirsty.

5. I love him, but after this, it's just going to be the two of us setting up house. (Felt faint again.)

6. Pics of the bridal party and family should be taken prior to the ceremony. Between these million photos and the reception, this thing is never going to end.

7. Thank the lord in heaven for a honeymoon so I can wind down and should we really have tongue kissed in front of my parents?

I would never have a big ceremony again. I'd prefer something small with a few close family members and friends, a sit down dinner, and some dancing. It's far too intimate a moment for me to enjoy putting on a performance in front of a crowd..

Oh one more thing...at the reception when we cut the cake, I was wound up pretty tight. It's cute on tv when the bride and groom smush cake in each other's faces. Through my smile, I mumbled if you mush this piece of cake in my face, I'm going to flip the table over.
