Have you ever been 'Plan B' ?

So men in a relationship will sometimes have someone on a back burner and set to "keep warm". Not a friend with benefits or a booty call thing, a "just in case" things don't work out thing that you can turn the heat up on without too much trouble. Take her out every now and then. Call every now and then. A gift 'just because' every now and then and so on.

Problem is though, not everyone always realizes that they are Plan B

a platonic relationship means you are just friends.

Now one a unno may hold on to hope and faith and the theory of proximity and pressure that at some point in time it will move to something more but....

But I don't see how platonic relationship = plan B

Women have platonic friends. Men have friends that they just haven't moved to the front burner ......yet.

We are always on the hunt. Always. However, the better socialized we are, the better we able to disguise this.

Man always tink sey dem know how ooman tink and dem usually wrang.

While man might have one ooman pan di back burner, plenty ooman (whe mi kno) have man pan every burner, while shi have di one pan di furss burner as juss di main man.

I have lots of men friends....and I don't think of them other than platonic friends....too bad if they want to think I am plan B.....because it just not going to happen.....nothing will ever go beyond a platonic friendship except in their dreams

I know one time I was definitely Plan B. Plan A died of leukemia if memory serves. Knowing I was Plan B, I lit into him when he called me after Christmas one year. (Note the &quot;after&quot; so that he would not feel obligated to get me a gift.) I told him I knew the other woman left him because he was a sorry [censored] and that's when he told me she died.

OK, that was surely not something I was expecting to hear so I was very apologetic and got sucked in. (She definitely died; I confirmed it with his mother and saw the funeral program.) We dated for a while, it didn't work out, and I got married to someone else obviously.

He only recently found out I was divorced even though it's been a while and went to my parents' house to get my phone number. He's telling my friends from home that I was always the love of his life. It's not true though. Plus, I'm not the same person I was then so Plan B won't take his calls. He's just having memories of the warmth of days gone by.
