A woman cannot make a man hit her. A woman cannot control what a man does, it is up to him to do or not do. As LadyZ(I believe) said, he can choose to walk away. Another thing I tell my sons is that if a woman constantly gets them to the point that they feel like hitting her, they don't need to be around her. It's a simple think to walk away. It's called self control and mature people have it.

Now obviously, there are extreme cases, like the one that LadyZ speaks of. These cases should be handled legally, because once again, I always tell my sons that if you hit a woman you're going to jail. Even if it seems she provoked it, the judge and jury may not feel the same way. An order of protection, or stay-away order if you prefer, can be obtained against a woman if she's a psycho-[censored].

There is no excuse for hitting a woman. </font>

if a woman forgets how to act like a woman how can you be sure the man won't forget to act like a man?

you miss what i say;
when a woman puts her hands on a man she is no longer acting like a woman...which can cause the man to hit her, in which case he is no longer acting like a man...yuh seet?
my point is that hitting is wrong no matter from who....but some women use the 'never hit a woman' thing to go on with violence, which i can not condone...

<font color="blue">A woman putting her hands on a man does not cause a man to hit her. As I said above, no one can make you do anything, you still have choices. A man responding to being hit by hitting back is only starting a cycle of violence. Someone's gotta walk away or someone's going to be in the hospital or dead.

Make no mistake I do not condone women hitting men, either. I think it should be prosecuted in the same way that men should be prosecuted. But history shows that it's much more likely for women to be hit, and killed, by men than the reverse. </font>
