The other day, I started to watch an episode of Oprah where she was talking to a woman who had been burned by her husband. There was video footage of the man pouring gasoline on her. She ran out of the store and then we saw her running back into the store - ablaze.
He'd chased her down and threw his lit lighter at her.
Now, I forget whom it was that had introduced the young woman to this man in the first place. But I remember that person saying how he seemed to be such a decent, softspoken upwardly mobile young black man. A good catch.
This good catch left his wife badly disfigured. Have you ever felt like you've had a 'close call' with someone? He or she seemed like a 'good catch' but soon they began to exhibit symptoms of psychosis?
