Mid life crisis? or a sign of why I should remain single

I am [img]/forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif[/img] and very disturbed at the moment, had it been one person in my circle of friends it would still have been shocking but it is TWO....

first one She is in her mid 40's been married for 22 years two kids 17 and 21 recently seperated from her husband had to have him committed to the psych ward because he was threatening suicide and has been doing alot of drugs.

Second one mid forties married for 10 years 2 kids 3 and 1 came home from work last night to find her husband in the crawl space of the basement would not come out and had been there all day. Kids had not been fed since she gave them breakfast. He has completly lost his mind drugs again!

What is this world coming to ??? And these are both seemingly normal middle class people [img]/forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif[/img] [img]/forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif[/img] [img]/forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif[/img]

M'dear, pray for them and hope they find that <u>positive something that means more to them than the drugs</u>...and then they will be right back to being the pleasant, normal middle - class folks running their kids to school and happily doing their errands.

where were they exposed/introduced to drugs?

there's no coming back from this one in most cases. i've said it and said it and i'll say it again, in some individuals drugs bring out psychosis permanently [img]/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img] seen it on more than one occasion [img]/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

Wife number two smokes BC bud and her husband did as well but it's just recently he has moved up to the harder stuff which has caused him to lose his job.

Wife number one has never done drugs but her husband had a back injury and was on pain killers and then went to work in the patch and started on coke which I hear is quite common out there as it stays in the system for less time than weed making it easier to pass a pee test.

there's no coming back from this one in most cases. i've said it and said it and i'll say it again, in some individuals drugs bring out psychosis permanently [img]/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img] seen it on more than one occasion [img]/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

i ain't no doctor, but again from what i've seen, if he doesn't continue to take his meds, he'll likely be the same.
