I know a couple - one is Jamaican, both in their 50s, both with previous marriages - who met on eHarmony. They were married two years ago and I understand they are happy.

I don't know about Internet dating. It seems vewy vewy scawy

It might have been scary when it started but it is so the norm now I don't think it is that much different. I think its match.dom says 1 in 5 meet on the internet now. I was asking friends the other days that were telling me all these dates they go on and I was like &quot;Where are you meeting these people?&quot; and all of them say the internet, Black People Meet, mi go prips it and dat site did scawy scawy fi truew...

More like shopping at a flea market. Some of the goods have been used by others and discarded as trash, some are fake, some look like it will do the job at first but when you take it home you can't get it to work, some still belong to other people, some are broken and barely held together, and others just plain broke.

Internet dating moves a little faster. If the person is honest, you get to know them quicker than the normal performance people put on.

My first internet love was from Katmandu. Unexpectedly, we were both a fan of getting your hair scratched. (Ask me if you don't know what that means.)

In person, I did not like the way he smelled and was unable to go with the whole Buddhist thing.

It's basically scratching the scalp with a comb. Sometimes people use the excuse of scratching out dandruff as opposed to admitting it feels so good. It was odd that someone of a different race yet to cross over to this side of the globe shared something in common with me. That's how it started in an AOL chat room at that.
