Any stories of how you or your SO has come to the rescue/aid/defense of the other? Recently we made a large purchase and had some problems on delivery. I called to verify that he had not made changes to the order and that indeed these people were trying to be screwy. I was angry! I had a list of how I wanted them to remedy the situation and I would not back down from these (reasonable) demands. ALthough there was some resistance I remained firm, and spent some time 'explaining' my 'request/resolution'. Next thing I know, my quiet hero pulls up, not to save the day, but just to be there! He never said a word, but

David went to the aid of some woman who was getting her [censored] kicked. He grabbed the guy off her and told him to pick on someone his size. Next thing you know, the woman jumped on David, calling him all kinda names and screaming at him to leggo offa har man.

Different note: We were in a bit of a rush one winter but as we waited impatiently at stop light in a different town, we happened to glance over and saw a really old woman trying to shovel her drive way. We exchanged a glance, he pulled over, made his way across the road and spent the next 20 minutes that we thought we couldn't afford, shovelling her driveway.

During the winter, he is always helping someone dig out of snow or help pushing a car skidding away on ice.

The other thing he does that is the strangest thing.. I love putting together resumes. I will take a resume, dust it off, and make it sparkly new. Im always seh im impressed with me when it comes to that ...so every blastid smaddy weh inna a im affice who need a resume done ...mi get email "Hon. ..can you take a look at this resume and see what you can do with it?


All sometime mi ask im who di person is and im seh im noh know. The person just got laid off an im a try help out. Den mi heart just melt weh

But Yes I have gotten responses back that they got jobs. Resume is jus a step in the door. Wan ting mi cyaan do is sell the person to the company. Dem haffi do dat demselves in the interview

my hero..............i have been sick, well not sick but laid up for a while, i had carpal tunnel surgery, i had shoulder surgery, u name it, me did a fall apart....but the love of my life~

man, u waan see mr bigman a comb me hair,
one time as he was getting out the shower and realize dat me did fe bathe to, he just turn back into the shower and bathe me to,

and one night after the shoulder surgery, hard head me, me waan go home, i dont need no pain meds, well dat night bout 3am when pain a lick....he had to go find me some pain meds

So dangerous stepping in when there's violence! Saw a tv show where a man intervened in a domestic violence incident in a supermarket parking lot, and the boyfriend stabbed *him* instead of the scared woman (cant recall the tv program, but it stuck with me ). So sad that sometimes we are reluctant to step in fofr fear of our own lives. I think thats why that 'What would you do' show is so emotional, because we all *want* to do whats right, but have to also be cautious.

I love love love the shoveling What a big heart!
