For me .. I call/plan ahead.

Wan lang time ago dowe mi did stop by announced jus cause mi did waan surprise di person wid a home cooked meal.

To my surprise di smaddy neva di deh.. Mi wait fi bout hour an half an all nung.
Mi an mi pat a food haffi drive alll di way back a mi yaad

SO no chance for a pleasant impromptu surprise? Sounds like if (s)he just wanted to see a smile creep up on your face at the sight of him/her, (sh)he'll have to wait for the walk down the aisle

Yup visit without notice comes after you have a vested interest meaning you are paying to live there so you have a key and your name is on the lease/mortgage and you can carry mi go court for unlawful eviction if I lock you out.

I'm not an unannounced person BUT it does not matter to me one way or the other if someone comes to my front door unannounced.
