Married to the wrong person

A friend of mine married to the wrong woman he thought he was in love with. I guest he married her for the wrong reason and get her pregnant and right now he of admiting it to her that he is not in love with her and it was a big mistake.

She is is torn up over the situation plus he threaten to divorce her and want her to sign agreement not have him pay child support.

But tell him never ever I ever heard of such agreement and not sure if that may stop or anything. Even tho she already dis agree
sign such agreement.

What I am wondering is how someone could make a mistake like that?

His wife is in tears right at this moment and there is nothing I can do for them at the point.

What would you suggest for them. The baby is only 1 years old.

i have to admit that my image of what marriage means has changed as i've gotten older...i think the 'love' thing is over-rated...but it's an eternal struggle...your heart feels more content with someone you 'love' but that person may not be the best partner for your spiritual growth ultimately...but then there are some people who you just can not get along with, whether you have a child or not & you feel like the only way for you to stay sane is to leave them out...the saddest part is that the child suffers for the adults' shortcomings [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif[/img]

yep the kids always suffer wen us adults decide to be selfish!

People get married for all the wrong reasons, and when you do you're setting yourself up for failure. Did he not know she was the "wrong" person when he was having unprotected sex with her? Did he not think of the child he was bringing into the world with his/her mother whom he has deemed as the wrong person to be married to? Just another case of thinking with something other than the brain.
