1st date / blind date /lets meet for coffee?

So... a friend of mine gave my email address (with my permission) to a co-worker of hers because she thinks we would hit it off well.... (I don't know why she thinks that)

This very patient fellow has been emailing me for a few weeks now. it is an address I rarely check so there is a big delay in my responding.

Now we have gotten through the formalities of who what and so on and now he wants to meet me for coffee.....oh, and he skipped the part of exchanging phone numbers.... he works downtown same as me so should be no problem meeting.

I am very hesitant for some reason......not sure why? other than my inherent racism against people from Qubec and french speakers in general...[img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/helpsmilie.gif[/img]

im tryin to say that maybe just maybe u are scared of committment and the fact that he is lookin for a serious relationship scares u off.

in the past u seem to get involved with men that can't committ to u. that worked for u bcus u didnt wanna committ to ne body either.

u dont want to committ to neone cus u know first hand how unfaithfull men can be and u dont wanna get hurt. so to make a long rambling even longer...ur scared of gettin hurt so u wont allow neone to get close to you.
