Mi fren (Mary) whe come from Guataloupe find out sey har fiance (Bob) was molested as a kid by him SISTA. Di sista (Jane) claim sey shi was molested by har fadda.

Mary encourage him fi talk it out widdim parents for a bay nitemare him a have a nite time. Him guh therapy and finally decide fi confront di sista (shi use to mek him have sex widd har til him was 13, shi was 16 at di time).

Di fadda deny it to him grave an di madda sey shi believe him. Now none a di fambily memba dem naah talk to di son and di whole a dem tunn gense him anda sey a Mary a turn him gense di family and shi muss go.

They are all creating a new story to avoid the shame and guilt of what happened in that family. It is very sad! How does Bob feel about his family now and is he able to stand up for mary when the family 'blames' her?

unfortunately this is something that has been WALKING through Jamaican society unchecked and unbridled for many decades...

If is not father, is uncle or bredda or other man in / close to the family - why do you think promiscuity has been so rampant amongst our young girls - they have been molested and exposed to sexuality at a very early age... in almost all cases of molestation promiscuity always follows unless the child can get some counseling , lots of support and therapy.

Why some women know their partners do these things and they still are with them - that is a question only God can answer.

last week thursday when i was in Jamaica i was listening to a program on news talk 93 and they were talking about abuse of boys in jamaica and one of the presenters was comneting on this practice where parents/caregivers woudl play with children's private privae parts as if it ws common practice. I had never seen or heard of it before
