Skelly, I didn't expect you to get it, so I will try and break it down for you.

The IRONY of that quote is that for someone to be tolerant, there is nothing that they should say that they can't stand. Light shining yet?

So to have a statement saying I can't stand something means that you have just demonstrated a level of intolerance before the sentence is even completed.

Anyhow, love and attraction I beleive doesn't come in colors and should be based solely on the color of one's skin.

The article above came off as being a very sorry excuse for the state of her affairs and her need to justify the "gem" she now has.

funny how in the shout box.. they are talking about cream baths and velvet skin.. ironic....

my husband is white.. and he is very into creaming his skin.. always has been.... not sure it makes him super soft......

wouldnt soft skin have more to do with genetics than cream? I mean when my skin is dry.. which if often tends to be... i can cream it to death.. and in time its just dry again..... i would not say i have that super soft to the touch skin...

now i know many who do.. my dominican friend at work.. i grab her arm and always say.. so sofffft.. my grandmother tooo....

is it statistical fact that some races have smoother skin.. or is it another generalized stereotypical statement?

if its fact. fine.. kudos.. if not.. its a tendency.. a perception....

Ok Donikka, I do understand that comprehension is lacking here but trust me, it is NOT from this poster and like I said I can't understand how any sensible human being couldn't see this before.

Yes I did and because I READ WITH comprehension I concluded that she was being sarcastic.

I on the other hand cannot see how someone who read and re-read the original item along with the questions and comment can come away not knowing it was meant to be sarcastic.

oh, you came to that conclusion regardless of the breakdown and what was specifically asked? That means you think all the statements made were sarcastic(which would be strange since she was hoping to say she's with her black man because he's intelligent etc and that they have a symbiotic relationship). Oh well you and I seem not to have same knack for analysis...
