I think this is the most stupid thing I've heard in a long, long time!!! First, why would any woman want to be scared of her husband and second, a beating once a week will make you afraid, I think not... would just make me wanna box him right back!

I think this is one of those urban myth stories, or a 'planted' story, because I cannot find it anywhere else.
