Excuse me TreyJ. In most instances, the wife is also working full time. Sometimes she is even earning more than the husband. So why should the husband come home and cock up im foot while she runs herself ragged? What is wrong with sharing the responsibility so that you can both relax at the end of the hard day....or higher a house keeper to come in for a few hours each day to cook, clean, load and run the dishwasher if it is such a burden , and do the laundry once week if you don't want to do anything.2 - 3 hours a day should do the trick.

No, no. I believe in shared responsibility. But this is about the ones who are preoccupied with their hair and nails and though they are not working think that cleaning, cooking, laundry is somehow beneath them. Lets just say I've seen it up close and personal. I'm not saying BTW that all African American women are like that but I see certain general trends. I think the interracial dating thing goes deeper than black men lusting after white women but it is also about do I feel respected in this relationship.

I don't know any Black women who get to lay about on sofa all day. Man, being able to lay about on sofa, drink tea, watch soap opera, play tennis, and go riding would set me up nicely right about now. Mi tiyad of all the hard work.

TreyJ, if you know of anyone offering that kind of lifestyle, send them my way. I will gladly make tea, lemonade or whatever else he wants when he comes home. No beer though and I detest the laying about in marina business. My dad never did it so I would not put up with that from a husband.

I don't do laundry though.....not even for my son. When his grandmother stayed with him while I was on a business trip, she showed him how to use the washing machine and dryer AND do his own ironing <span style="font-weight: bold">when he was 11</span>. I haven't touched his laundry since.

I don't pack suitcases either. My son has been packing his own suitcase since he wanted to take Barney to Jamaica and Barney wouldn't fit after I packed for him. Yes, he was young, but he re-packed his own suitcase, showed me that there was PLENTY of room for Barney and he has been doing his own packing ever since. Barney has been to Jamaica <span style="font-weight: bold">3 times </span>and I only had to pack him once.

Thank God for Grandmothers and Barney.
