Ok, so me and the woman are in the process of getting a divorce. We've been separated since November of last year and believe me it was long overdue!! Final hearing to be rid of her for good is in November (cyaan cum soon enough).

So, the new lady in my life wants to get engaged.......................like right now!!
We've been together now going on 6 months and YES, we are pretty serious. (It's too bad I didn't bump into her a long time ago).

What are your thoughts?

how is she as a step mom?
If she has kids from a previous relationship how are you as a step dad to her kids?
who has the better pension fund?

As a woman I would want your divorce to be settled before I think of getting engage.

St Georges - Take your time there is no need to rush into another marriage. I remembered when you first came on the board how proud you were of M. and your two boys also your step daughter. You spoke highly of her then - continue to do so she is the mother of your children. As someone who was married for 36 years and now divorced for nearly 9, I would like to advise you to take this time for yourself there is no need to jump into another marriage, this is your life not a Hollywood movie set. This new woman you spoke of her like you were 16 years old - take a break from marriage. Wishing that everything works out especially for the children. Does your soon to be ex-wife logs on to JA.COM? Are you posting this thread for her to read?
