Re: Inter-language relationship
Yeah, he was from San Salvador. I wasn't going to do it at first, but he was very persistent lol.
It was fun as a fling, and neither of us had issues being around people whose primary or only language was not our own. The language barrier was challenging enough, but we had a cultural clash - we did have the same understanding of "casual dating".

Re: Inter-language relationship
He behaved more like he thought he was my man. It is not so much that I did not enjoy his enthusiasm and attention, but the pop visits without calling first were probably the worst part of it. I mean I have been in established relationships where I did not just roll-up unannounced. I don't like that.
For example, my parents, my brother and his wife, and my date (not him obviously) were at my place for Thanksgiving. After the meal, we were sitting around watching t.v. and the doorbell rings. Here San Sal is with flowers, a big smile on his face, and even brought a guest (his cousin) like it was alright. There's more to that story but suffice it to say that my date was multilingual, and I got caught in a lie when I stepped outside and then came back in talking about they had the wrong address lol.
