(this is a vent from a single girlfriend)

grown men who express interest in a woman, me, but call because they want to come to my house 'for a drink', 'to spend some time with you', 'to help you relax':??! Whats up with that? They dont think I can do this on my own?? One guy even stopped by after blowing my phone, and me sending it to vmail each time He claims he was worried when I didnt answer the phone Whats up with THAT?

I guess the access is easier if they're at somebody's home! She said one fellow stopped by on a Saturday afternoon, so I guess I didnt immediately think booty call- I just thought he was being cheap

This sounds more like cheapness to me. Don't nobody want to take her out no where?

Hanging around her place violates the terms and conditions of a booty call. I'd think they'd want to get in and get out as quickly as possible for just a booty call lol.

She was just venting, but she's been clear- she expressed to them that its a little to early in their friendship to be entertaining in her private space. She just found it odd that 2 men she's met recently didn't ask her out on a date date, choosing instead to 'try' to come to her home. She didn't accept the one that stopped by to 'chk up on her'.

But if they're hanging out for a while, then they cd easily move it to another levell that's probably the rationale!

She said she really liked the 1st guy as they got to know each other weLl by phone, but since he nvr seemed to want to take her on a date, it was the dealbreaker.

And why did BOTH of these men not get the message? The only constant is your friend.

Maybe you can help her understand that she should not be giving her address out to men whom she's just &quot;met&quot; (yes, I put that in quotes). That right there is sending mixed messages to certain kind of men. Which brings me to another suggestion on how you can help her - she may need help with the caliber of men she is seeing ... men who think that can &quot;check up on her&quot; when she expressly tells them that is not necessary ... is creepy

Sorry to say, but your friend needs a reality check and some serious woman-to-woman intervention.

I may not be explaining it right b/c it didn't sound that bad to me when she vented . A date date is dinner/movie, walk by the lake before a kiss at the door on drop off.

The 'visitor' knew her addy b/c he'd been there before, just that this time she didn't take his calls and he popped on by anyway, which yes creeped her out (who does that!?). The other was just not taking it to another lvl after much phone play.

Maybe she is meeting the wrong (cheap) men who prefer to have in-home dates (I think she'd have to cook too :shhh)
