Yes, I was so worried about my friend I spoke to my other friend and she says exactly what you have stated. Her friend's husband beat her continually and finally she begin to call the police on him. He threatened not to help her and she ended up getting her green card anyway. She knows now what she must do for herself and her kids.

Well I stopped by my friend"s place after work, her husband was in the bedroom talking and talking on the phone. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/rolleyes.gif[/img] The scoop is she finally told one of her sister"s-in-law the whole story. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/bannana_purple.gif[/img] [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/bannana_purple.gif[/img] His sister jumped hot and e-mailed the lady cursing her out. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/704555_dwl.gif[/img] [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/704555_dwl.gif[/img] She contacted her other sister who in turn told his mom and dad. The whole family is standing behind my friend telling her that yes it's their brother but he has no right to man handle her in any way. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/mad2.gif[/img] The whole family says if he even thinks hard about touching her again just call and they will be there.


Now he had the nerve to ask her why did she telling his family his business. She told him they needed to know, then he told her he wasn't going to help her with any papers. She told him at this point she didn't need the card or him. He left and sure enough both sisters called to check on her and the kids, she did tell them that there was no way she could stay with him after choking her in front of the kids. We'll see I can see some fight in her now so hopefully this will push her in the direction she needs to go.


I'm just glad that the family is backing her as well, since she had only told me about it this was making me anxious and very worried for the family. I can breath a little now. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70456-eyebrows.gif[/img]

I had a 3 year relationship with one, and yes indeed his dad did abuse his mom (and him), and he did finally hit me. I told him once I could forgive, twice not. He did it a second time eventually and I threw him out (we were living in my apartment).

I was lucky, he didn't bother me any more after that, but I also knew not to mess around with reconciling or "one last meeting to talk" - that's when stuff like in the article above happens.... </div></div>

I recall a friend of my mum. Her husband was so abusive that he would beat her in front of company. Yes he did. I myself witnessed it as a child.

Apart from the numerous hospital admissions, he beat her so badly that their last child was badly deformed and died at the age of 7. They had 4 surviving children.

One by one the children left home. In fact, all but one left the country. They pleaded with their mother to come live with them. She always promised she'd would eventually when the time was right. She went to visit her son in Boston for 3 moinths that was it.

He had women, brazen huzzy women. He flaunted them in front of his wife. The women came to the house. He continued to beat her well into their sixties.

Anyway the husband developed parkinsons. The children refused to visit, she had to beg them to come see their father.

She nursed him to the end and cried at his funeral.

She and my mother are still friends and when ever I see her I find myself sitting and watching her. Asking "is she for real?!". She is just so lovely.

He died about 3 years ago. All now I would be by his graveside... dancing....

Oh boy, there is a discreet way of doing things but this lady has been through too much.
