Seriously though I can work virtual office and should be fine if choosing to remain in my field. If not I can volunteer my time with some organizations that may be in the new place.

Comfortable looks like a place where there are no wild animals or insects running at the door. Safe from crime; Access to electricity, internet , hot water and ability to get around without being in an armored car.

Well as where mi relocate to come in like foreign country...I can say the following made me say OK:
1. free reign to fly back east as I desired
2. having the same lifestyle that I had PRIOR to the move, even though it took a minute to find another job.
3. the new house had to be comparable (to be read: nicer) than the one we left
4. room for family/friends to come and stay for long periods of time if they chose to do so
5. amazing health care
6. pets, and all my comforts from previous home relocated as well.
7. the ability to establish a new social network
8. when the sun went down...we were still together
