Yes. I wrote my own vows after this man who'd been married for 67 years told me that the main reason why his marriage lasted as long was because he wrote what he FELT about his bride and vowed to live it everyday.
I wrote two paragraphs and memorized it detailing Why I wanted him to be my husband for life, and surprised him with it at the ceremony.
I spoke first and after I was finished there was not a dry eye in the church (I was told and was evident on the video). [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cool.gif[/img]
He then decided to tell me the same and was BRILLIANT! It has worked for me after being married for 28 yrs and we plan to live happily ever after. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/discosmilie.gif[/img]

I had to hunt for the file on an old disk, but reading the words again now-- it seems like just yesterday.....

(1) Thou shall not let pesky family members move in and only when they start to pluck his nerves they are served their walking papers.
(2) Thou shall be able to cook at least 2 times a week, cause I'm sick of trying to figure out what to buy or cook for dinner. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/bexbad.gif[/img]
(3) Thou shall have a electric shock every time he spills something and doesn't clean it up. Turn his hands into a giant sponge and soap to help him along the way. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/bannana_purple.gif[/img]
(4) Thou shall have more voltage when his alarm clock goes off way earlier than he's suppose to wake up in the first place. In crease voltage every time he hits the snooze button. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/mad2.gif[/img]
(5) Thou shall not be allowed to have a bleach bottle in his possession. Some way or another it will end up on my colored clothes or new colored towels.
(6) Thou shall not be able to record on the DVR while he's not home. The couple of chances you get to have the plasma for yourself position yourself on the sofa and in the middle of your show the stupid recording button flashes. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/mad2.gif[/img] Meaning you'll have to stomp up the stairs fussing all the way only to miss 10 minutes of your show cause you forgot which channel the freaking show is on.
