my gf was telling me a story bout one of her HIV infected patients who became pregnant. So of course, me haffi stap har an ask y she having unprotected sex, did de man knoe etc.

in a certain segment of the gay male population those who are hiv- deliberately court those who are hiv+. human nature being as perverse as it it, hiv+ status is somewhat romanticized [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70394-bawlout.gif[/img]

Bug Chasing
Though the practice of bug chasing seems incredibly risky, chasers admit when interviewed that they have recurring thoughts and act out by participating in "Bug Parties," sometimes called "conversion parties," in hopes of acquiring HIV (getting "The Gift"). The HIV-positive individuals are often referred to as "gift givers."[citation needed]

Bugchasing has been viewed with disdain from many in the gay community as a self-destructive activity. Leaders of the gay community at large are concerned that the behaviors of bugchasers may contribute to a public perception that the practice is common or encouraged by all gay people. However the gay community does recognize this is an increasing problem[citation needed] and as a community are striving to educate people about the serious consequences of this practice.

enoe..my gf said HIV infections is on the rise in the gay community...apparently for a lot of peeps its becoming the norm..they know there's medication for it..so dem nat afraid of dying..she say unfortunately dem nu knoe how de medication mash dem up..she actually believe consumer direct marketing for these meds..was the worse ting ever

Several of my friends have already died from this....(most in the beginning of the epidemic when the meds and info was not around) and I have yet to meet one of these "bug chasers".
