you've been coming across the wrong type of black men...then again, as a yout coming up most of my bredrins were conscious youts and rasta youts who used to bun fiyah pon di creme hair & horsehair thing, so i have a biased view...
but honestly i don't know any black men who like weaves & wigs...but if there are guys who do, just send dem to me and a hot lava mi a fling dem way...caw dem a joka

mi cudden tell wen the lass time a white man pass mi pan road and bawl out "DREAD!!!" as a form of greeting. if dem bold enuff fi mek eye contact dem wih smile or mek some comment bout di wedda and soh but mi nevva wance have a white man address me based solely on my hair.

yu know hummuch time mi haffi get bringle pan di black man dem weh greet me. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/mad2.gif[/img] i sually very mildly ask them if they greet white women with "hey STRAWBERRY BLONDE!!"

I wish "dread" was only what some of the wht men that live in my area would shout out of their cars as I walk by.

I also wear my hair in it's natural locked form and the things that come out of the wht men's mouth is shocking to say the least. Some are people I know well, so they think that it's ok and others are random posterior holes.

These are just some of the comments/questions I have heard...as recent as last week. How I've handled them is for another thread:


- Do you ever wash that? How?
- Isn't that the way black women wear their hairs before the comb was invented? Ha! Ha! [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/rolleyes.gif[/img]
- Would I broke a finger or two if I attempt to run it thru?
- I can't see why anyone would want their hair to look like weeds

reminds me of that movie with sania lathan where she married a white guy...he convinced her to take out her weave and she did;
but i wonder if she would have done it for a black dude.
and as far as black women wearing weaves because of black guys dissing their natural hair, that argument i find weak because many of the weave-wearers are quick to tell off a black man who says something they disagree with, but they're telling me they wear weaves because black men disagree with their natural hair style??

as a female you have a duty to try to take our men out of mental slavery as well...
instead of indulging in their brainwash which causes us to emulate the other man instead of re-brainwashing ouselves to appreciate our natural characteristics...this is the duty of the strong black woman; not to bow to the folly of misguided black men...
