I have been in a raltionship now for 12 years. We got married a year and a half ago. I had never asked or recieved any type of ring from him. When the time came for the ring we had a certain budget to go with. I started looking but for the price I had to work with, The rings sucked! I wanted something cut nice in a certain style and clarity was important too. I ended up taking my butt to costco and found exactly what I was looking for.

They only sell VVS or better clarity in I or better color. As far as cut, mine sparkled very nicely and still does. Most of the mall jewelry stores had rings that said they were good quality but I could see the flaws immediately after you start being able to recognize them. My ring is only one ring with no band and most rings appraise for double at costco anyways. Most people don't even know they have jewelry there.

I am very glad I did a little shopping around and get compliments all the time from men and women. Since the ring was something I was going to wear every day, I chose to forfeit a expensive honeymoon and we went somewhere local. So I added that to my ring money too. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif[/img] I told my hubby that I deserved it for sticking around for the last 10 years. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif[/img]
