Have you ever felt slighted or stared at or given a "look" and your immediate thought was that it had to do with your race/Skin/hair/clothes/shoes/whatever?
What did you do?
Did you ever then find out that the slight/look/stare in reality had nothing to do with "you"?
What did you do or how did you feel?
Case in point....
A mother was at a park with her toddlerKid A(African-american), Two other girls her daughter's age were also there one blonde/blue eyed Kid B the other bi-racial Kid C. Kid A and Kid C are in the sandbox, when Kid B walks over and hands a toy to Kid C.
Kid A's mother remarks to her friend, See how she gave the toy to Kid c, it's because she looks white. She would never play with my daughter since she's so dark.
a little later on Kid a's mother finds out that Kid B and Kid c are actually first cousins.
