Re: Not the most captivating title but... HELP!
BB for years I put off moving to my dream city because of family, then when I finally decided to leave them all behind because frankly they were getting on my last nerve, they ended up following me [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/704555_dwl.gif[/img] you never know.
Go for it and your family will always be close, you are only a few states away. At the end of they day BB has to be happy and if Happiness is in FL then so be it.
The only caution with FL is the insurance, don't only take into consideration the house prices, check out the insurance rates for that particular zipcode.
Also, you may want to rent before you buy that way you are not ocmmitted to an area. I lucked out with my fly by night choice in neighborhoods, but many who have moved here have found otu that they are not in the least happy with the neighborhoods they chose.
Case in poitn, we went to see a house, it is out 50% larger than what we have now, we viewed it loved and was ready to make an offer. THEN we drove through teh community in the night, str8 up nauseating. It was so sad to see these classy homes in this ghetto fab neighborhood. When we saw it was duirng the day eveyrone was at work and glad we came out to see it at night. ON the other hand, we have a friend who bought in an area that is pretty nice, but she would rather be elsewhere due to availability. her neighborhood is ok but she realises she could have gotten much more had she rented before she moved.
I think anywhere warmer is better. Cant stand the cold myself but as long as you do yoru research your family will be happy just knowing you are happy
