In a relationship where you were ashamed of your "person"?
Scenario: You've been invited to a corporate event and are free to bring along...someone. Your "someone" is a blue-collar worker who haven't quite grasped the finer points of social decorum. You are a bit concerned not only for you and your rep but for perhaps placing him in what can be viewed as a hostile situation, especially by the unexposed to corporate cut-throaters.
Would you still invite him along, and view this experience as a form of "lesson" or would you invite someone else who would "fit in" more easily?
