I believe that Bob Marley has about 13 children. Some relatives think the number is as high as 22. Aston 'Family Man' Barrett, who I think is an AMAZING artist, is reported to have <span style='font-size: 17pt'>52 Children </span> .

Now we can go on and on about the lack of responsibility of some Jamaican men but let's focus on the women. What is up with some women that the minute they think a guy has money dem ready fe drop baggie. Dem noh care weddah im married or single. Dem noh care ow much pickney im ave a'readdy, dem figah seh if dem gi' lickey dem wi get some a de money.

I am sorry I just plain don't get it. Like what's up wid dat. Also if people are going to screw around, why the h'exodous can't they use birth control.

Aston lost the case yesterday, so it'll be lumps of coal and a satsuma for each of his kids this Christmas and not the PSPs and Gooey Louie games that they were hoping for.

Aston 'Familyman' Barrett took Bob Marley's family and old record label to court in March, after Barrett claimed that he and his brother Carlton - the rhythm section for The Wailers - did not receive any royalties or song-writing credits following Bob Marley's death in 1981. Barrett's sums told him that he was owed £60 million.

Carlton and Aston Barrett played on several albums with Bob Marley - including Natty Dread and Babylon By Bus - and claim to have written several of The Wailers' songs, but the lawsuit was thrown out yesterday by Mr Justice Kim Lewison after Island Records boss Chris Blackwell said that the Barrett brothers had surrendered any future royalties 12 years ago in a deal worth "several hundred thousand pounds." The verdict was welcomed by Bob Marley's family who - in a statement - said:

"We always felt this would be the outcome, and it was hard to listen to
Aston Barrett reduce his friend Bob to someone who was more interested
in playing football than making music."

Aston 'Familyman' Barrett is now liable for the lawsuit court costs, and may have to sell two Jamaican properties to meet the bill. We can't help feeling that there'll be a 52-strong Jamaican chimney-sweep empire starting up in Jamaica sometime soon…

I think those women are, in one word, SHAMELESS. People might say, to each his own, but it is unmistakenly deplorable.

Someone posted a few weeks ago about some in JA who are going after married men or anyone from foreign willing to give them a baby. It is an absolute disgrace.

Well I may get crucified but you know what....a troot mi a talk!! A oh. I agree....it is absolutely disgraceful. I see this happen in the White community too. Young girls in their 20s who go after older married men who they think have money. The standard line is "their mothers married for love and it got them no where. No man is too old or ugly as long as he has money." These chicks are vultures. They will throw them selves at older men who are married with kids and they couldn't care less.

Same way women gwan around stars. Dem ready fi spread out once smaddy have a lickle fame and dem figah seh im ave money.

And what the heck was "Family Man" thinking? What has become of all of those children. It boggles my mind how some guys can be SO talented and yet still so lacking in morals and judgement and how some women can be so ruthless and lickey-lickey!!

This reminds me of my Homeboy who went to Jamaica one September to party and when meet a girl down there she look pon 'im clothes, 'im rental car [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/rolleyes.gif[/img], and im American citizenship. She was pregnant by December. And all her mother could and would say is: "You guys should get married and if it doesn't work out, you get a divorce."
I figured it was a setup, he didn't listen.

Well this part about the women throwing themselves at guys who live a foreign is disturbing. I will have to strongly caution my son before we next visit Jamaica. Come to think of it, my parents cautioned me when I went to live back home for a while.

Tropi if you have raised your son with values.. smarts.. discretion... i would hope he wouldnt need to be cautioned.... but yes educated and given all the facts... about women period.. jamaican or otherwise.. and safe sex.. and responsible relationships.. minus the sex.....
