TLC mi nuh really think is no diss yuh nuh. Mi love mi black man tuh mattas a fac mi guh even furdara fi seh mi love mi yaad man but mi nuh oppose to nobody choosing a man of anedda race. Nuff a wi who is single or who did single did come tuh di realization seh yuh haffi open the pool a little bit. Mi neva dated a white man but have been on a few dates with a Dominican, and an Indian man, of course mi guh rite back guh married mi jamaican but not because him is jamaican nor because him black fi di simple fact that what is important to me, he provides.

I also stick to them because of the common culture we share. When I say them, I mean a Jamaican man. About 95% of the men I've dated come from Jamaican backgrounds. I highly doubt I would date outside because the attraction is just not there.

but Sue, whose making it racial. We have one poster referring to a white man ina relationship as massa which implies that the woman is the slave to the man. That is not necessarily correct, there are unions such as this right here on teh board and these women are independent equal partners w/ their husbands.

To each his or her own. How can anyone feel that they have the information to dictate to others what they should feel?

How does "thinking" that EVERYONE should feel the same way about EVERYTHING differ from other instances such as an abused woman being told to "stick it out" just because the advisor have never had the experience of being abused?

The best thing to think is that each person should be left to strive the best way they know how, based on their OWN experiences and whatever works for them. It is best that if we don't understand the "why's", we keep it moving and just respect that individuals decision...

So TLC...what about a white Jamaican, or a chinese or Indian Jamaican? Do you think it would be the same culturally then?
