Although it was inappropriate for her to put her man's business on BLAST like that, you bet your sweet bippy that I would be extremely offended if I were to be given a used ring...unless, of course, it was a heirloom.

They are both tacky and should go ahead and marry each other so there will be two fewer of their kind left in the market.

wan lady yah a wurk get fi har engagement ring and it's a zirconia. she's perfectly happy with it. it's not even a big cz. you guys realize that diamonds aren't necessarily more precious than any other stone right? it started out as a marketing campaign by de boers in the 40's "diamonds are forever" and i must say it's been one of the most successful campaigns ever. i'm much prefer tanzanite. With a little consideration and creative thinking, he could have taken the stone from the original ring and have it traded in for another stone and using the money from the other ring towards a new one.

I would NOT accept a used ring. Where is that ring coming from? What omens does it bring with it? I think it is bad luck to wear someone else's engagement/wedding ring, but that is just me and my silly convictions. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif[/img]

I would more likely accept a ring from a soda can, than one that is used. If he couldn't afford a new ring, he should have waited until he could.

Every honest woman would like to receive a ring that is special and unique to YOUR relationship, not with one that was purchased with another woman in mind...
