Roots doesnt know that I am terrified of dogs so mi can only cuss her husband over de phone. Nanook should have a good laugh if I come dog-sledding cause I will run in the other direction if a dog is not on a leash [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif[/img]

Its a golden retreiver and like I said I love her, because shes a member like it or not of the family. I think being away in a clean place by my self last month put me over the edge. They are like a couple [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/704555_dwl.gif[/img] I just repainted and shampooed carpets and all I smell is dog. Yes shes bathed enuf.

The dog can learn new behavior and so can hubby.

How often is she outside? I would be looking in the papers for a used outdoor chain link kennel with a dog house. She wouldn't have to live in it all of the time but for nice afternoons and such, it would give you some relief and dogless times.

A kitchen gate perhaps. Regularly scheduled times when she is allowed to come in the room and visit with hubby. Small things like that could make a big difference! When I get overwhelmed with the fur kids they go in crates or they would be driving me nuts too!

Oh, and how about Hubby start takign the dog to the park for play time or something along those lines, time they can spend together and give you a break?

OH NO Rootise! She not an it! I do remember you posting about keeping pets off of furniture a couple of years or so ago. My dogs have their own big soft pillows on the floor and I do not allow them on the couch. I will find you a link to the little things I use, they are not barricades but they work great!
