Kym had been seeing Joe for over 7 years before their relationship came to an end in December 06.
It was one of those on-again, off-again relationships because neither one wanted to be the first to say goodbye, they were, in other words, scared and complacent.
They finally broke up for good this time and vowed to stay "broken up".
Kym has started to date (cautiously)a fantastic guy (Bert) whom she likes very much - he is perfect for her and happens to know Joe - they met at a golf outing sponsored by Kym's company a few years back.
Bert wants to get "serious" but Kym told him. it is too soon, so Bert accused her of still having feelings for Joe, which Kym explicitly denies.
Bert has now told her to "pee or get off the pot", because he doesn't see why he should hang around otherwise. He wants her to answer the question of "what is too soon"?
After almost a year of separation, could there still be such a thing, or do the number of years spent with someone serve as a major factor? Any thoughts?
