Grown Woman

Do you ever find that your parents (usually your mother) forgets that you are grown? Do you ever have to remind her that you don't LIVE with her? Do you have to remind her that you EARN your own money and you will spend it any ole way you please? Do you ever have to tell her that you weren't home when she phoned because you have a life? You ever have to tell her that you will not send a birthday card to Auntie So-and-so because you didn't even know Auntie So-and-so was alive, or had any idea of who the heck you are? How many times do you have to tell her that you only go to church for funerals?

Is it just me, or do parents never let you grow up? (Can you tell I needed to get that off my chest)

Only yesterday I suggested to my daughter-in-law that she ought not sleep in the same room with har husband at har madda house. They are doing rennovations and need to be there for a few days.
I remember doing round-di-island tour in Jamaica and when I arrived to our hometown, I slept in my bedroom and huzzy slept in the guest room.
I just could not sleep in the same room...at my mother's
suggestion.

Never mind Phoenix. One day you will look back and smile. My mum is staying with me for a few weeks and all of a sudden I have to tell her what time I'm back from work, or if I'm going out what time I'll be back [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70394-bawlout.gif[/img] She offers to wait up for me too.

I love her dearly, but I'll be glad when she returns to JA, even though I'll miss her bad [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70459-hugs.gif[/img]

It's good to know that it's not just me. It's like I turn into a teenager again. And ok, I admit it, it's nice that somebody cares.

Well naw, rooksing is just wrong if Mum is in the same house! But surely you can sleep in the same bed without ravishing each other?
