I knew now that it was just a matter of time before this man got married to this woman and Simone would truly lose her mind.

At the risk of her cutting me off again - I tried to convince her to see other people, lef de church, move outta har house an nuh leave nuh forwarding address... heck - leave the state if needs be...
but for every point I brought to her - he was there like rasputin whispering in her ear with a rebutting argument, with a tainted promise, with a new lie and poor Simone just kept holding on to the fact that because she was 1st - she had precedence.

So said so done - Roy git up an announce dem weddin day inna de church... by now Simone had relinquished her front seat and therefore did not have to endure the excruciating agony of eye contact with him...

true to form - he had not given her any advance warning and true to form he shows up at her home BEGGING and PLEAdiNG for her not to leave him...

HE LOVES HER and she is THE ONLY WOMAN FOR HIM and although he has set a date to pacify this womans parents he will NEVER go through with the wedding... if Simone should leave him he would be doomed because she is the only woman who truly understands him and he feels that she is truly his friend and not out to get something from him like eberyone else including the woman he is supposed to marry.

Now let us not forget that the whole time all this drama is playing out - pawsen is prospering... him get anedda church added to him stable an to his congregation he is PASTOR ROY... pure of heart and leader of his flock.

I had visions of sauntering into the church wan Sunday an wen altar call come fe go up deh an ketch spirit an tell de WHOLE sordid story... of course Simone woulda probly help him strangle mi so mi nix dat idea... but the thoughts of ti sustained me through many a roy anecdote.

Simone seemd to have been numbed by all his announcements and really did not break stride... he continued to woo her and ply her with gifts etc. and evry few weeks when she would PMS an cut him off he would more or less stalk her, drive by her house, call incessantly and send his boys with gifts to put her back into an amiable mood.

but the wedding was looming and Simone was become increasingly unstable...

she did in the beginning till she could si seh mi wasn;t buying it an den she stap...

more or less Roy is charismatic - I mean he is the pawsen of several congregations so u have to figure that he must have at least the gift of gab right... also - within the church circle he was the top of the totem pole... he exuded, success and power and during all this she is with him at bible study and church functions - I think she became so immersed in the church culture and within that culture he was the king... its heady to be pursued by the king even though u see your chance at queen slipping away...

I mean a lot of this is conjecture on my part... she always said that she loved him in a way that she had never felt for anyone else - she said when he spoke to her she felt like he coud see right through her and he had way of always saying just the thing she needed to hear \o/

I'm sure i could not adequately desacribe what it is she felt for him in that time and like I said I was not too open to hearing her sing his praises.

usually I woulod not stick my nose inna odda people bizniz so (well dats nat true - but mi stick it fe fassniss reasons nat to interfere [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/desdentado.gif[/img] ) but Simone is hiding all this from her sister, her parents and most of her friends and I can hear the despair in her voice when i speak to her... an no matter how she tries to let him go... ROY will not be let go...

I said "HAPPY?! - are u CRAZY? she has not been truly happy in almost 2 years and u are so selfish and self centered that u can;t see that"

he went on to tell me that he gave something to Siomone that she needs and she gives him something that he needs... he made reference to David in the bible who did covet de man wife an sen him into battle - but God forgive him... and other kings who had multiple women and wives and God still used them for his purpose - so mi should stop judge him...

I told him that whatever twisted logic him use to give him ah clear conscince so he can sleep at night does not cut muster in teh REAL world and if he TRULY cared about Simone he would let her go and just leave her alone.
