Home duties are quite a lot. Wifey duties [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif[/img],Get kids ready for school, cooking,cleaning, laundry, being there for the services involved in maintaining the home, taking care of my mother, running errands, supervising homework projects, after school activities, chauffeur,managing the accounts. It is like running a small company called Family Inc.


No I never said I did p/t contracting.. This is a full time gig (40 + hrs).. I would ideally like 30hrs as then I can balance both roles cause sitters dem hawd fi come by.. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70394-bawlout.gif[/img]
I am very lucky with this assignment

Kia- those are all duties that a working mother has to contend with in addition to her nine-to-five. The distinction is that the working parent does not have the luxury of her own time, like a house wife does....

excuse mi?? where is my own time?? Working mothers place their children in day care where sahm are there with their kids all day.. the kids are in the house longer so more dirt to deal with..

The spare time line works more for working mothers than sah mothers. They have lunch breaks at work...

As a former stay at home mom for almost 3 years, I did NOT have the luxury of my own time, and that was only 1 child.

I really believe the house wife thing when u get paid .... otherwise u are just a sahm.

And this stay home thing ... house work etc ... is just too much ... now i wouldnt mind staying home with my son (most of the time then he gets on my nerves) and have somebody come in and take care of the rest of stuff.

Housewife and SAHM a 2 different ting.

Yuh can be a housewife nd naw no pikney. Yuh can be a SAHM and work from home. Yuh can be a Housewife and put your kids in daycare or have a sitter come in. Yuh can be SAHM and have a maid/helper come in an clean the place....so everybody situation can different.

I have one child and a small place and am seriously considering a cleaning lady. I work long hours at my day job and on my days off the last thing I want to do is to clean.

and when I was a SAHM if mi couldan did afford it mi wouldan did get one cleaning lady too, but you know how it guh pan one salary [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif[/img]

right yah now mi need one personal shopper, personal assistant, cleaning lady and mi set. mi have one sitter aready suh she do all the playdate things during the week.

when mi done work a daytime mi juss waan tek one long bath and curl up inna mi bed.
