Friends who tell yu to leave your spouse

I am here doing counsellign sessions and the women are complaining that their female friends are doing more harm than good by telling them to leave dem husband when they come to them with a likkle problem here or there. Like really, why not offer your hand of friendship and say yu gonna be there in time of need. Naw seh yu cant tell the truth, but I do not think it is right to tell someone to leave dem husbands.

I am not a fan of discussing relationship details with friends. Some topics are ok to chat with a close friend, but some things need to remain between you and your other half.

People usually don't really follow that advice until them really ready. But i agree that unless is something really --------- (;looking for right word but head full of 5th grade multiplication eg: child abuse, physical abuse), keep your advice to yourself and just pat and seh "there, there" and "hush"

Yes, it is always good to have a confidant, everyone needs a listening ear. But is not every detail of a relationship fi share.

Well I can remember when dolly house did start fe mash up an older really roots cousin came over and I told her what was going on she was . Her daughter and I had to hold her back because she was ready fe go in the room where my husband was and . Her advice was "Run im, you can do bettah dan dat. Bettah man dan dat out deh."

Anyway, dolly house did mash up and years later I told my Mom about it. She said "Really? If bettah man out deh dan dat, den how come she noh ave none." (She has several children each with a different father and she has never been married.)

Fast forward many years....yes there are men I have seen who seem much bettah but dat don't mean they are going to be into me.

I don't regret getting divorced but my advice to married women is "The pickings are mighty slim out there. Many men tend to want to hook up with bimbos. So if you are married and he isn't beating or messing around on you or just plain bone idle....do everything in your power to make it work."

I would never tell a friend to leave a spouse same way I would never tell a friend to leave a job.

What I would say/have said (in both circumstances) is if you need any help let me know and I am here for you.

but yes as Pepper and others said, too may ooman confide intimate things that should stay between them and them spouse.
