[Mutty]

From time to time I hear (and read) women say, "I don't want a man I can walk over" or "I don't want a man who always let me have my way."

Should these words come from a grown [mature] woman or should we expect them from a child OR a spoiled immature woman? Sounds childish in the regard that it sounds like someone saying or thinking, "let me see what I can get away with."

I dont think it is quite so conscious of an effort Mutty but rather it is human nature.

Put it this way, it annoys me to no end when a guy is always saying "yes dear" to everything I say or want. It is fun for about a minute cause you get no fights, always get to decide the restuarant and movie of your choice.

State what the heel you want and lets discuss and resolve.

And then tit wears off. If I ask you for your opinions or thoughts on any subject and you say whatever I want to hear then how do we have a real relationship whereby we learn what the others wants and needs are? You wont cause it will always be about what I want and need.

And let me say this: I find it manipulative when guys act like push overs. You are being dishonest about something and at some point you as a man will get tired of the fact that I cant or wont read your mind and say what you really want me to say instead of telling the truth.

You have given the inch and now I have taken the proverbial mile and at some point your gonna want your "inch" [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif[/img] back and I aint gonna give it to you. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif[/img]

I would not expect my man/husband to have an opinion either way on what colour towels go in the guest BR but I sure as hell expect him to have an opinion on how we raise our kids....(extreme example but...yu si what mi mean)

Bull headed people compromise???

Well yes, you would think so and for the record, I was not necessarily referring to push over men or women. Just the idea that it appears some people relish the idea they run things and will try at every turn to make this clear. When you give an opinion, they let it be known there is no opinion but theirs and the argument start ESPECIALLY if you once tried a ting and it flop and they now feel you have no business even opening your mouth.

Mrs. Jean and Mass Levi comes to mind. lol
