Red Line, Fort Totten to Farragut North, Tuesday February 5, 8:45am-ish. You are devastatingly cute, petite, light purple glasses (totally working the sexy librarian look), a true original. You were wearing a blue knit cap, white winter coat with faux-fur trim on the hood, brown boots. Faux-leather? Are you vegan? Carrying a green bag with what looked like a biohazard symbol stenciled on it. Was that a Badtz Maru lunchbox? You had a blackberry clipped on the strap of your biohazard bag, which kind of gave you away. I bet you have an office building ID badge in that bag, too, just like all the other drones in this town – but clearly you are not one of them. Hey Tryst Wine-Drinking Reader
It was Friday night (1/18) between 6-9pm at Tryst.
I was sitting in a lounge chair writing on my laptop and reading academic books. My most defining features were my long ponytails and my zip-up fleece. I drank lots of tea and chai.
You: wearing a cap (which you took off), drinking red wine with sandwich, reading a book at a small table facing me.
We shared a laugh about the staff member who switched out the chair at your table. Then we wound up walking out of the cafe in the same direction but you walked past me and didn't say hello (maybe not a good sign).
Anyway, if you see this and wanted to talk, I'll be back at Tryst tomorrow and Sunday afternoon to do more work.
