that I recently found, I wrote it in my College writing class. Enjoy.
All The Good Ones
All the good men aren't gone, they're sitting at home thinking all the good women are. That's the reality, that's just how it is. There was someone somewhere that gave that good person a run for their heart. Many of us have been there and most of us has no intention of visiting that horror again. It's life you can't avoid.
One day there will be that guy/girl that catches your eye. You know, the one that walks with that certain swagger, the one with the beautiful smile, or the captivating eyes. You won't be able to resist, you just have to say hi, you have to try once more. Damn, this human nature!!
The thing is, we keep forgetting the past relationships and until we learn that relationships past are lessons, we will continue with the same mistakes unless we take a step back and look at the past. What's the common denominator in each relationship? YOU. That's right, you are. What is it that you did in each relationship that in the end you beat your self up over? Was it the way you treated that person? Was it something you said? Did you just decide not to trust them because of what happened in the past?
Also, look at that person, does he remind of someone you knew (Usher was right). If the person reminds you of someone from your past, in a negative way, talk to them about it. Ofcourse it's not easy, but assurance from that person kind of helps. If your feelings doesn't change, leave it alone. You're not comfortable and it won't work unless you you can get that chip off your shoulder.
So for the guys at home that think the good ones are gone, we're not. We are sitting in the house, at the movie theater, passing you in the mall, or behind you in line at the grocery store. We're the ones that try not to make eye contact, because we think that good men like you do not exist.
Say hi anyway, and women you do the same. We all have that intuition to know when we're in the presence of someone remarkable and a dud. To get to know the difference you have to say something first, you have to get through a first date. This is one of the things that life is about. Don't let your last dating disaster be your last dating disaster, you're gonna need some stories to tell your husband/wife to laugh about later.
