Loops I think the giving of clothes is much different, I know old time Jamaican women sees the giving of food as a romantic gesture,but I very much doubt the guy would have taken home the food if he really thought the woman was using it to get close to him.

He wouldn't bring it home if it was offered to him by a old lady, a young lady or a dude. I'm very finnicky about what I eat and I'm finnicky about what he eats - at least when he's around me.

So while there would be a measure of disrespect there (him bringing home a pot of food from someone else) the larger reason for me being against it is I don't really trust people's cooking hygiene...
