Men/Women take issues from a last relationship and put it up against the next person. I understand that you need to learn from the past, but there's a difference between learning and holding a permanent grudge.

Basically they take di ex's hot oil to fry di current one.

imo, the "letting go" aspect is much more of an intellectual and thought out response.

There's a big difference between taking a lesson with you and taking baggage with you, choose wisely. I used to tell ladySPENG all the while "love doan have nuh seatbelt ar nuh airbag...either yu do it ar yu not goin to do it" there's no way to "mek sure it nuh hot" yu haffi tek a deep breath and get it in yu hed seh dis one nuh hot like di lass one, if yuh get burn aggen.....buy yu stove dem from a different vendor....

so that's why u approach the next stove cautiously, watch it for a while, and then maybe even use the pot holder, until u reasonably sure seh it nuh hot.
