A Maryland woodworker has become something of an Internet sensation thanks to his cheesy diet.
Dan Janssen, of Ellicott City, Md., claims he has eaten almost nothing but pizza for 25 years.
“Once a week to be healthy, I'll eat a bowl of Raisin Bran, but other than that it's just pizza,” the 38-year-old told TODAY.com.

Janssen says he sticks to cheese pizza and will consume an entire 14-inch pie every day.
But he yet to grow bored with eating the same food day in and day out.
“If I go to one pizza shop or another brand, it's like eating a completely different meal,” Janssen told Vice.

Janssen says he grew up eating “regular food” but became a vegetarian for ethical reasons when he was a teenager. So, how does someone go from a meat and potatoes diet to an all-pizza one?
“I hate vegetables,” Janssen told TODAY.com. “I tried for maybe a couple weeks, and then I realized the thing I really like is pizza, so I'm going to eat that.”

Janssen sticks to plain pizza, but he does alternate between making his own, heating up frozen pizzas and eating at pizzerias.
Vice ran Janssen’s saucy tale on Tuesday, and the story has since been picked up by a number of news outlets.
People are polarized about Janssen’s extreme eating habits.
“They either want to kill me, or they think I'm a hero,'' he told TODAY.com.
Janssen does have diabetes, but he told Vice that, aside from the occasional blackout caused by his blood sugar dropping too low, he doesn’t have any health complications.
“I've never gotten a negative reaction except from my first endocrinologist. But all the other doctors have said, ‘Your cholesterol is fine. You seem healthy. Keep doing what you're doing,’” he said.
Janssen’s fiancée has been attempting to get him to widen his eating habits, and he says he does eat other foods when pizza isn’t on the table.
“I'm good at pretending,” he told TODAY.com. “It's not that I'll die if I eat something new. I can fake it, like if I go to a wedding or something.”
While he does see a therapist about his extreme eating habits, Janssen says he is happy.
“I must say, even though I sound like a horribly unhealthy and fat person, I'm not. I'm thin. I have tons of energy, and I feel great every day, so there might be something to the exclusive pizza diet,” he said.
