mi think it was a yard ting. suh yessideh mi hear dis fasshion photographer for the nytimes a chat bout "hobble skirt", and him nuh sound like yardie suh mi guh google it, and find out seh it been in use.

Ah no we did mekk dat up; that was the fashion term at the time.
Hobble skirt: I guess it mean that it was so tight one could only hobble in it.
