u see it starts with acceptance of yourself and how God made you.

Not that I am free of any hang ups and all the rest but I am getting there I would think.

I like girlie stuff like like makeup, pedicures, etc. more so now than when I was younger but now it just doesnt define me in the same sense as it did before. Kind of ironic in some ways.

Rgiht now, it is the only good thing about getting older

this morning, I looked in the mirror after putting on a bit of foundation, lip gloss and mascara, and thought &quot;wow, I am one pretty woman&quot; and decided I didnt need eye shadow and blush........nice to get to that point in your life.

u knoe what's really scary..dese days i actually dig how i look in glasses me actually put de lens to wan side an <span style="font-weight: bold">choose</span> fe where de glasses..of course glasses have come such a long way even my thick old prescriptions can look half way decent

but you know, alot of the women I see like that I usually think, &quot;you'd be really pretty less makeup&quot;.

on the other hand you can blame women for struggling with the belief that they must look a certain way. You are bombarded with certain msgs from when you are young and we all fall prey to it. Look at the Chinese thread in GD. The little girl with the not so straight teeth is actually more endearing than the &quot;perfect&quot; child.

I just notice that as I have gotten older, I am less self-conscious about the things I thought were these huge imperfections when I was younger. <span style="font-weight: bold">Doesnt mean I look better, I am just not so hung up on it... </span>

I guess youth is truly wasted on the young
