Solia Flat Iron

Yes I know there was a post on this but it would not let me post in it, I kept getting di 403 error sinting so now mi a try a new poas.......


Ok I have decided to buy this iron since y'all hype it up and I move to this hot place an my hair frizzing up.

Here are my questions, does it matter what size? I see most of you buy the 1 inch I was thinking of the 1 1/4 think it matters?

Also they say the heat control is adjustable what temperature you put it on?

and this question is for Jazz, the honeymoon pics where your hair is straight is it you use cause yu hair a say one in dem pics

What heat protectant if any oonu use?

i would say the size depend pan the length a yuh hair and what size curls yuh want, the smaller one wi gie yuh tighter curls and flatten shorter pieces

mi use one dark and lovely mist but it need fi get fling inna the gyarbage

Oh Lawks is long time mi nuh come dung here u nuh - sorry seemiyah 0- mi nevva si dis...

I have had a few flat irons with the bigger width and I find them harder to manage than the thinner one... plus i can do curls with the thin one also... but it's really just a matter of preference.

I put mine on 370 - but they have a user guide included that will tell you what setting is best for your hair type.
my hair tends to be pretty strong and can withstand all type ah torture.

I DID use my solia in that pic - but not on my hair - on the <span style="font-weight: bold">WIG</span> I am wearing

I always take a wig with me when I go on vacation - so that after a day of swimming ai can still glam it up a bit for dinner without having to take 2 hours... so in that pic - I am wearing a wig which i did straighten out a bit witht he flat iron... but this picture here - is MY hair that I straightened with the Solia.


I use the tresseme heat protectant - I spray it on right before flat ironing....

I sometimes use a flat iron spray that helps straighten out my hair - I forget what teh brand is right now... I'll check later when i get home...

Bwoy you know mi feelings did hurt when you ignore mi suh... but that being said I did go buy it and I love it!! I got the 1 1/4 size and it curls the hair under nicely, i loved how it looked after considering I was to get a relaxer and cancelled it, I looked like I came from the salon.

I had a nexxus heat protector product that I used but I put that on the damp hair before I blow dry it and didn't use anything else when I used the Solia but I think I need to.

Well dat dey wig a say one! I would never had guessed, your hair looks good in this pic too.

Yes man - I will rock a wig QUICK wen I am on my Vacay... I don;t have time to waste doign hair wen I coud be out doing a lot of nothing!!!

Mi ah look wan short style wig now wid de blunt ends to wear fe alikkle - cause I like the style but I don't want to cut my hair...

well depending on how often u use it, how hot u turn it, how good your technique, how fragile u hair is and the product u use wid it, it may or may not damage u hair (dat sound like warning enough? )

sorry I meant to reply but got distracted

I got the 1 1/4 in and my hair is shorter. I had it set too high at 450 but at 370 it works fine. I use the Solia protectant thingy

I haven't used it lately cause mi still in 'wash &amp; wear' phase so when the weather cools off will use it regularly- but it looks quite professional when done

thanks, that's the same size I got. When it came it was set on 370 so I decided to use it on that and see what happen, since it did a great job I don't plan on changing it. I didn't know they had a Solia heat protectant I will look into that too.
